OWINGS MILLS -- The next few days can be marked down as pivotal ones for the Baltimore Ravens' scouting department.
The Ravens have several impending workouts and visits with top draft prospects, including Michigan quarterback Chad Henne, Louisville quarterback Brian Brohm, Delaware quarterback Joe Flacco and Troy cornerback Leodis McKelvin.
Henne is scheduled to work out for team officials today and visit the training complex Monday and Tuesday.
Brohm has a Sunday workout with the Ravens with a subsequent visit Monday and Tuesday.
The team has already conducted a private workout with Flacco on the Delaware campus that included offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, quarterbacks coach Hue Jackson and wide receivers coach Jim Hostler.
Flacco will meet with the Ravens on Sunday and Monday. With prototype size and outstanding arm strength, Flacco is one of the fastest-rising draft prospects and might climb into the latter half of the first round.
It hasn't exactly been a closely-guarded secret that the Ravens like Flacco a lot.
Baltimore holds the eighth overall pick, a selection that could wind up being Boston College quarterback Matt Ryan if the Miami Dolphins, Atlanta Falcons, Kansas City Chiefs pass on him, or Troy cornerback Leodis McKelvin if Ryan is already off the board. The Ravens have already met with Ryan, and director of college scouting Eric DeCosta and director of pro personnel George Kokinis attended his Pro Day in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
McKelvin is scheduled to visit Baltimore on Monday.
The plot twist with McKelvin is that he could be picked one spot above the Ravens by the New England Patriots, who need a cornerback to replace Asante Samuel and will meet with McKelvin on Tuesday.
While many of the Ravens' allotment of 30 official visits will be used on higher-profile incoming rookies, the team has also met with Wheaton College outside linebacker Andy Studebaker. Studebaker is a 6-foot-3, 255-pound Division III All-American recovering from foot surgery that could be a priority undrafted free agent.
The Ravens are also expected to meet with another small-school prospect in Eastern Kentucky cornerback Antwaun Molden. Molden is a projected third-round selection, a 6-foot, 198-pounder with 4.37 speed in the 40-yard dash who registered a 37-inch vertical leap and bench pressed 225 pounds 23 times at the NFL scouting combine.
After transferring from Toledo, Molden registered 70 tackles, two interceptions and nine pass deflections as a senior. A Cleveland native, he played on the same high school team as Ravens quarterback Troy Smith and Miami Dolphins wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr.
