Ravens sign WR Jones

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- The Baltimore Ravens have signed veteran free agent wide receiver Brandon Jones, a league source confirmed.

Jones didn't play last season after being cut by the Seattle Seahawks.

A former Tennessee Titans 2005 third-round draft pick from Oklahoma, Jones has also played for the San Francisco 49ers.

The transaction was first reported by FOX Sports.

He was signed to a five-year, $16.5 million contract by the 49ers that included $5.4 million in guaranteed money, but was cut last August by San Francisco before signing with the Seahawks.

He has 113 career receptions for 1,398 yards and nine touchdowns.

He caught a career-high 41 passes for 449 yards and one touchdown in 2007 with Tennessee.

  • 5/24/12: Rookie 2nd round pick Kelechi Osemele took the majority of the first-string repetitions at left guard with Jah Reid rotating in at tackle.
