OWINGS MILLS -- The Baltimore Ravens will kick off the preseason against stiff competition, facing off with the New England Patriots on the road.
Although an exact date hasn't been determined, it will fall somewhere between Aug. 7 and Aug. 11.
The Ravens will host the Minnesota Vikings at M&T Bank Stadium between Aug. 14 and Aug. 18 followed by a road game against the St. Louis Rams between Aug. 21 and Aug. 25 before concluding the preseason at home against the Atlanta Falcons on Aug. 28.
"It's exciting to know who we'll face in the preseason," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said in a statement. "This is the first step to solidifying our team. We've got some great opponents that will test us early, including an always-strong New England squad on the road.
"The preseason is a terrific opportunity to develop your team and its character. This schedule will help us lay a solid foundation."
The Vikings game marks Harbaugh's first game in Baltimore since being hired in January to replace former coach Brian Billick.
“We’re really looking forward to playing in front of our fans for the first time when we host Minnesota,” Harbaugh said. “M&T Bank Stadium is always electric, and everybody knows what Ravens fans are all about. It’ll be exciting to feel their energy and passion.”
