The Beat with Aaron Wilson - Ravens bring back their Prince

Team re-signs Miller, parts with CB McCann
Written By:

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- The Baltimore Ravens have signed undrafted rookie cornerback Prince Miller off the New England Patriots' practice squad and cut cornerback Bryan McCann.

Miller is expected to have a strong chance to contribute as a punt returner.

He had a 57-yard punt return in the preseason with the Ravens, but was cut following the final major roster cutdown.

McCann was claimed off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys, but didn't play against the New York Jets to open the season Monday night.

Miller is a diminutive, athletic former University of Georgia player.

Aaron can you elaborate on why the organization did this? I thought McCann was respected for his speed and was also a CB who could return kicks and was a step beyond Miller? Was it buyer's remorse? Are they trying to land McCann on the practice team?
