Ravens To Raise Season Ticket Prices
OWINGS MILLS -- There’s a price for the Baltimore Ravens’ success, and it will be felt partly by the team’s season-ticket holders.

In a letter mailed out to fans, the defending AFC North champions announced that they are raising prices for the 2007 season, including: $25 more per game for club seats where tickets will range between $155 to $335, $20 more for the lower level and $10 more for upper-level seating. Tickets will range from $45 to $110 on the upper and lower level.

The Ravens noted that they spent $25 million over the salary cap to sign quarterbacks Steve McNair, defensive end Trevor Pryce, wide receiver Derrick Mason and cornerback Samari Rolle along with safety Ed Reed, linebacker Bart Scott and tight end Todd Heap, citing those investments as a reason behind the increase.

The Ravens ranked 18th out of 32 NFL franchises in average season ticket price last year, according to several sports marketing journals. The team said that it will not raise ticket prices for the 2008 season.

The Ravens' eight home games next season include AFC North games against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals along with the New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, Arizona Cardinals and St. Louis Rams.
