WESTMINSTER -- The Baltimore Ravens are banged-up and shorthanded as they launched their first full-squad workout Friday with seven players sidelined at training camp.
Free safety Ed Reed (undisclosed), wide receiver Demetrius Williams (lower left leg), tight end Daniel Wilcox (offseason toe surgery) and cornerback David Pittman (foot) were placed on the physically unable to perform list.
Cornerbacks Chris McAlister (knee) and Fabian Washington (hamstring) and fullback Le'Ron McClain (undisclosed) were placed on the non-football injury list. This list often focuses on conditioning or health issues.
"As far as the different guys who have the different situations that make them unable to practice, it's all different," said Ravens coach John Harbaugh, adding that none of the injuries is deemed serious. "There's a timetable for each guy, but, specifically, every guy is different."
Ravens team spokesman Kevin Byrne indicated that the Ravens will not comment on injuries until they have to issue an official injury report.
If the players remain on the PUP list at the start of the regular season, they are required to miss the first six games.
Running back P.J. Daniels left the field in pain during the morning practice and remained out in the afternoon. He appeared to suffer an upper-body injury.
Running back Cory Ross hurt his left arm, but wrapped it in ice and returned in the afternoon.
Fullback Justin Green left the field with cramps, but practiced later.
Cornerback Derrick Martin and return specialist Yamon Figurs were helped off the field by trainers during a hot afternoon workout. They didn't look hurt, so it may have been heat-related symptoms.
Offensive tackle Adam Terry, who is recovering from offseason ankle surgery, is noticeably limping.
Williams, whose leg is in an elaborate brace, described his condition as day-to-day. He had Achilles' tendon issues during minicamps.
It’s unclear when Wilcox will be able to practice.
Pittman has increased his activity level could be back soon. Reed ran on his own and seemed fine.
GLORY DAYS: The Ravens' old offensive line returned to Westminster, only they were on the sidelines.
Retired former linemen Jonathan Ogden, Mike Flynn, Wally Williams and Spencer Folau were at practice. Ogden assisted young tackles Jared Gaither and Oniel Cousins with their technique.

When Ogden arrived at McDaniel College, he was greeted by general manager Ozzie Newsome.
"I've got my phone," Newsome joked. "I can call the league office."
Ogden laughed as he's definitely retired.
"I'm going to be playing golf," he said. "I've got my tee time."
SCRAPPING: There were three separate fights, including: linebacker Jarret Johnson squaring off with offensive tackle Joe Reitz, center Jason Brown body-slamming defensive tackle J'Vonne Parker and linebacker Edgar Jones taking on offensive tackle Mike Kracalik.
During the scuffle between Brown and Parker, several linemen joined the fray in an impromptu wrestling match marked by a lot of laughter and piling on.
EXCUSED FROM PRACTICE: Several players and coaches will miss practice today to attend the funeral for cornerback Samari Rolle's father in Florida. Harry Rolle recently died of a heart attack.
Team owner Steve Bisciotti is providing his private jet to the players and general manager Ozzie Newsome.
"What I told Samari is, 'Sometimes, it isn't what you're going through, it's how you deal with what you're going through,'" middle linebacker Ray Lewis said. "He's going through a lot, but, as a man, I think he's handling it very well. As a family of teammates, we want to be there for him by any means necessary."
ROSTER MOVE: The team signed former Washington Redskins wide receiver Darnerien McCants, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound fifth-year pro from Odenton. He has 58 career receptions for 774 yards and eight touchdowns.
McCants took the roster spot of fullback Jake Nordin, who was cut Thursday.
TICKET SALE: The Ravens had a technical issue and are going to hold their single-game ticket sale today at 11 a.m. through TicketMaster.
HIGH ATTENDANCE: An estimated 6,625 fans attended practice, the second-largest non-scrimmage crowd. The camp attendance record is 6,900, set on Aug. 10, 2006.
FINANCIAL MATTERS: Lewis definitely wasn't interested in discussing his unresolved contract status.
Due a $6.5 million salary in the final year of a $50 million contract, negotiations are deadlocked and there has been speculation that Lewis could be named the team's franchise player after this season or allowed to test free agency.
"I just had a hard day of camp, I'm sweating, I'm tired and you want me to talk about next year?" Lewis said. "I'm trying to talk about tomorrow's practice. I can't talk about next year. I don't know what that means."
QUICK HITS: With Rolle, Reed, Washington and McAlister out, Frank Walker and Corey Ivy started at cornerback with Jim Leonhard at safety. ... Haruki Nakamura had a field day with two interceptions during the afternoon practice as he picked off Joe Flacco and Kyle Boller once apiece. Nakamura has advanced faster than fellow rookie safety Tom Zbikowski. ... Running back Ray Rice was impressive, faking out linebacker Antwan Barnes in the open field. He also ran over cornerback Ronnie Prude. "I told Ray Rice, 'If you see me in the hole, bouncing around sometimes works," Lewis said. "But in this business it doesn't. North and south wins, never go east and west." ... On a fake field goal, punter Sam Koch hit tight end Todd Heap for a score after Heap tipped the ball to himself. ... Cousins and Gaither struggled in one-on-one drills against Dan Cody. Cody seemed to hurt his knee, but shook it off and kept going. ... Newcomer Anwar Phillips intercepted a pass. ... Ivy had a diving interception of a Troy Smith pass.
