The Beat with Aaron Wilson - R. Lewis scheduled to discuss new deal next week

OWINGS MILLS -- The Baltimore Ravens have scheduled a press conference for All-Pro middle linebacker Ray Lewis next week at their training complex now that Lewis has signed his seven-year contract that has a maximum value of nearly $44.5 million.

Besides Lewis, team owner Steve Bisciotti, general manager Ozzie Newsome and coach John Harbaugh are slated to attend the March 19 announcement.

Lewis is a two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year and a 10-time Pro Bowl selection.

Aaron Wilson covers the Baltimore Ravens for the Carroll County Times and the Annapolis Capital.
