Troy Smith

Positives: Reported in excellent condition at 213 pounds, a dozen pounds below his listed playing weight from last season. Looks lean and mobile and took the first snap in drills.

Negatives: In a red-zone drill, he went 1 for 5 with three interceptions and a fumbled snap. One interception was tossed to secondary coach Chuck Pagano.

Stock: Slightly down

Kyle Boller

Positives: Calmly completed all four of his throws in a red-zone drill, going through his progressions to hit his intended targets in stride.

Negatives: Was fairly conservative overall, making the safe, short throw in each case.

Stock: Neutral

Joe Flacco

Positives: Showed off his big arm, gunning his passes to receivers. That included a crisp dart over the middle for a score to wide receiver Patrick Carter in traffic. Avoided a holdout by signing his $30 million contract on time.

Negatives: Needs to develop his touch and take some velocity off of his short throws as he works on his timing.

Stock: Tilting upward.

Aaron Wilson covers the Baltimore Ravens for the Carroll County Times and the Annapolis Capital.

  • 5/24/12: For now, the Ravens are primarily having Paul Kruger lined up at Suggs' rush outside linebacker spot.
  • 5/24/12: Rookie 2nd round pick Kelechi Osemele took the majority of the first-string repetitions at left guard with Jah Reid rotating in at tackle.
