OWINGS MILLS -- The Baltimore Ravens have scheduled University of North Carolina junior wide receiver Hakeem Nicks for a visit.

An All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection, Nicks has been plagued by a strained hamstring that sidelined him for the NFL scouting combine. He gained 14 pounds between the injury and his recent Pro Day, and that negative development could significantly hurt his draft stock.

At his campus workout, Nicks was limited to positional drills, the three-cone drill and the short shuttle. The nearly 6-foot-1 wideout weighed in at 226 pounds after reporting to the combine at 212 pounds as he was unable to work out much since late February due to the leg injury.

Several NFL teams are bringing in Hicks for medical exams and interviews.

Healthy for the majority of his college career, Nicks is an ultra-productive receiver.

Nicks holds 14 school records, including marks for most career receptions (181), yards (2,840) and touchdown catches (21). Last season, Nicks registered a career-high 1,222 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns on 68 receptions.

As a sophomore, Nicks caught 74 passes for 958 yards and five touchdowns.

In the Tar Heels' bowl game, Nicks put on a show with eight receptions for 217 yards and three touchdowns.

His best 40-yard dash time is 4.51 seconds, which projects him as more of a possession receiver in the NFL. However, he has drawn high marks from scouts and draft analysts for body control, toughness and hands.

Meanwhile, the Ravens have scheduled University of Florida tight end Cornelius Ingram for a workout.

Ingram missed his entire senior season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament suffered last August, but has recently run the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds and displayed good hands during workouts for NFL teams as the surgical repair seems to have worked.

As a junior, the converted quarterback and former Gators basketball player caught 34 passes for 508 yards and seven touchdowns and was named second-team All-Southeastern Conference.

At 6-4, 245 pounds, Ingram is considered to be more of a pass-catching tight end. He has played slot receiver in the past.

NOTE: Ravens punter Sam Koch signed his one-year, $1.545 million restricted tender for next season. Koch averaged a career-high 45 yards last season. The Ravens would like to eventually sign him to a long-term contract extension.
