OWINGS MILLS -- University of Oklahoma towering offensive tackle Phil Loadholt visited the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-8, 332-pound All-Big 12 lineman is a projected second-round draft pick who has previously visited the Oakland Raiders and the Minnesota Vikings.

Loadholt arrived in Baltimore on Wednesday for a visit that concludes today, according to his representative.

Loadholt is one of the biggest linemen in the draft and has 36 1/2 inch arms to wall off pass rushers. He's regarded as a strong run blocker.

At the NFL scouting combine, Loadholt ran the 40-yard dash in 5.34 seconds and registered a 29-inch vertical leap.

During his campus Pro Day wokout, Loadholt bench pressed 225 pounds 26 times and turned in an 8-9 broad jump.

A junior college transfer from Garden City (Kan.), Loadholt started at left tackle for the Sooners for the past two seasons. He might be best suited to play right tackle in the NFL due to his size and lack of top-end mobility.

As a junior against Texas A&M, Loadholt had 15 knockdowns.

NOTE: Oklahoma State tight end Brandon Pettigrew, Penn State outside linebacker/defensive end Aaron Maybin (Mount Hebron) and University of Maine outside linebacker Jovan Belcher visited the Ravens.

Aaron Wilson covers the Baltimore Ravens for the Carroll County Times and the Annapolis Capital.
