The Beat with Aaron Wilson - Greisen joins Broncos

Written By:

OWINGS MILLS — Former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Nick Greisen agreed to a one-year contract Tuesday with the Denver Broncos, according to his agent.

In seven NFL seasons, Greisen has recorded 255 career tackles and four sacks.

Greisen, 29, was released earlier this offseason by Baltimore one year into a three-year, $4 million contract that included a $1 million signing bonus.

The Ravens saved $716,000 against the salary cap by parting ways with Greisen.

A former New York Giants fifth-round draft pick from Wisconsin, Greisen is known as a tough reserve linebacker who’s adept at special teams.

Aaron Wilson covers the Baltimore Ravens for the Carroll County Times and the Annapolis Capital.
