Former Ravens tackle Orlando Brown arrested Former Ravens tackle Orlando Brown arrested

OWINGS MILLS -- Former Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Orlando "Zeus" Brown was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary and destruction of property Friday in Baltimore County after a warrant was issued for his arrest, according to court documents.

Brown was released on his own recognizance after being accused of breaking into his ex-wife's house in Cockeysville.

The property that was allegedly destroyed was valued at less than $500. Mira Brown has alleged that the former Ravens player illegally entered her home while she was on vacation.

Among other allegations, Mira Brown has accused Brown of breaking a storm door, tearing down curtains and defecating in a toilet.

Brown went through a nasty divorce from his ex-wife, Mira Brown that was finalized in 2004. Several pieces of civil litigation have been argued between the former couple.

Mira Brown accused him of domestic violence last year and the case was dismissed.

Then, Brown filed another domestic violence charge against the 6-foot-8, 350-pound retired football player on Aug. 31. That case was dismissed as well, according to judiciary records.

Both accusations were filed as civil, not criminal cases.

Brown has been assigned an Oct. 2 court date for a preliminary hearing on the burglary and destruction of property charges.

Brown played for the Ravens from 1996 to 1998 with a second stint from 2003 to 2005 before being cut during the offseason in 2006 for salary-cap and performance reasons.

Now, Brown is involved in the restaurant business as an owner/operator. He opened a Fatburger franchise in Elkridge.

Brown visited the Ravens' training camp in Westminster a few weeks ago and seemed to be in good spirits.
