David Reed investigated for narcotics possession

OWINGS MILLS, Md-- Baltimore Ravens rookie wide receiver David Reed was the subject of a Baltimore County police investigation about possible narcotics at his apartment in Owings Mills.

No charges were immediately filed, but evidence was taken from his apartment.

A search was executed at roughly 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night and evidence was taken from the location, according to Baltimore County police spokesman Robert McCullough.

"Currently, he hasn't been charged with anything," McCullough said. "Evidence has been seized and is actually being analyzed."

"I'm good," Reed told 24x7. "I ain't got nothing to say right now."

Reed confirmed that he hasn't been disciplined by the team at this time and is scheduled to travel with the team for Monday night's game against the Houston Texans.

Reed could face punishment from the NFL if he's convicted or charged with a crime.

Reed is the Ravens' starting kickoff returner and had an 84-yard return against the Carolina Panthers.
