Ravens Press Releases - RAVENS SIGN DEMETRIUS WILLIAMS TO 3 YEAR DEAL

Written By:

The Baltimore Ravens agreed to terms with fourth-round selection (111th overall) WR Demetrius Williams on a three-year deal, general manager Ozzie Newsome announced today.

A physically gifted wide receiver, Williams finished his career with 162 receptions, tied for third in school annals, and his 2,660 yards are fourth all time. He also owns an Oregon record 11 100-yard receiving games, and pulled in 20 career TD catches, good for 4th all time. Saw action in 45 career games with 28 starts in his four years as a Duck. Williams also earned second-team All-Pac 10 selection as a senior. He was the second player drafted out of Oregon by Baltimore in 2006 (Haloti Ngata – first round, 12th overall) and is the third Raven overall to be selected from the university (WR Patrick Johnson – second round in 1998).

To date, the Ravens have signed or reached an agreement with nine of their 10 draft picks, leaving only first-rounder DT Haloti Ngata without a contract.
