FAN PHOTOS

FAN PHOTOS The mood at M&T Bank Stadium yesterday can best be described as wavering. Because of the team’s inconsistencies Ravens’ fans just weren’t sure what team would show up. Would it be the team that lost in Seattle or would it be the one that dominated the Steelers in Week 1? Would the Ravens finally be able to answer a Cincinnati defense that has presented so many problems to Joe Flacco and Cam Cameron? Are the Bengals and their rookie signal call for real? The boo-birds were out early as Joe Flacco and the offense had a bounce in their step on par with the stars of Night of the Living Dead. Expression-less and flat, it looked like more of the same and the Seattle hangover appeared to linger. But eventually the Jekyll & Hyde team snapped out of their funk on the way to first place in the AFC North. HERE is our FAN PHOTO GALLERY from yesterday and other recent Ravens events & games. We hope you enjoy them and by all means, send your Ravens pics along to TL...

BIRDWATCHER: U2 360 Tour Visits Baltimore

M&T Bank Stadium proves to be an outstanding host to super group
BIRDWATCHER: U2 360 Tour Visits Baltimore U2 delivered an electrifying performance in the Ravens’ crib, aka M&T Bank Stadium on Wednesday night and I have to say I’m still energized by the performance. The energy in and around M&T Bank Stadium was intoxicating and that had nothing to do with all of the tailgating going on. Ok, maybe it had something to do with it but that won’t diminish the stature of this red letter day in our city’s history. Here are a few observations… THE GOOD ·         One might expect bottlenecks in the queue leading into the stadium similar to those prior to Ravens’ games. Instead and to my delight ticket holders walked in freely without the criminal-like pat downs during football season. ·         U2’s 360 stage, something that Star Wars might be interested in when the band no longer wants it, looked like a gargantuan Alaskan King Crab during the daylight but ...

BIRDWATCHER: Ravens Convention & Parade

BIRDWATCHER: Ravens Convention & Parade The NFL Labor strife has clearly tested the patience of fans across the country including many who are struggling paycheck to paycheck yet somehow manage to find ways to invest in tickets, gear and TV packages to satisfy their insatiable desire for professional football. However there are signs that fan apathy is creeping in. NFL merchandise sales have dipped deeper than in past offseasons. Some fans refuse to send in their season ticket money despite threats to lose their seats for the upcoming campaign. Others are simply digging in their heels and telling the league to not so politely pound sand. And then there are the diehards… Each year in Ocean City, Maryland Ravens fans from all around descend upon the seaside town regardless of the circumstances to celebrate their favorite team while reconnecting with friends. No matter the lack of football or even the presence of several Ravens who normally attend this Ravens Convention, those who bleed purple still arrived in masses m...

BIRDWATCHER: Fan photos from Ravens v. Broncos

BIRDWATCHER: Fan photos from Ravens v. Broncos On a glorious sunny October afternoon (the NFL Gamebook says 67 degrees…it was warmer trust me) when pink the color of choice to raise breast cancer awareness, the Ravens took it to the visiting Denver Broncos and once again throttled the wild horses 31-17. Birdwatcher meandered through Lot H and over to the 105.7 Gameday Warehouse before wrapping up the day with the sights, sounds and energy of Ryleigh’s Oyster Bar in Federal Hill. It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood as evidenced by this week's PHOTO GALLERY…    CLICK HERE FOR PHOTO GALLERY

An Evening with Steve Bisciotti

An Evening with Steve Bisciotti On Thursday October 7 Steve Bisciotti joined me, Mike Bradley and Bruce Laird at The Original Greene Turtle in Ocean City for our Ravens Rap show. As he always is Bisciotti was engaging, candid, proud and entertaining. We touched upon many different topics including his expanded knowledge of the game, how technology will shape the NFL’s future, his involvement in operations, why the Steelers’ Bryant McFadden was set up and his odds on reaching a new collective bargaining agreement. You can hear the interview Sunday at 11AM on 93.5 the Beach right HERE. Afterwards the Ravens’ owner took time to talk to the wonderful folks from Ravens Roost 44, sharing stories, insight and obviously the camera lens HERE.

BIRDWATCHER: Brothers from Mothers

BIRDWATCHER: Brothers from Mothers Ravens v. Steelers, the best rivalry in football and arguably the best in all of sports. The games are almost always wars and this past Sunday was no different. Steelers’ week is always more intense. Of course there’s the rivalry. But mix in the fact that the teams admittedly don’t like each other, the fans don’t like the other team’s fans and perhaps worst of all there are Baltimoreans by blood but not in commitment or loyalty who inexplicably continue to support the Steelers. These are the people who would watch burglars steal your HD flat screen and then say to you a day or two later, “I heard you got robbed.” But I digress. The point here is that the added intensity makes a loss that much more bitter and a win that much sweeter. And on Sunday Ravens fans were visited by the Candyman! This week the lens of Ravens24x7.com visited Mothers Federal Hill Grille and the energy was absolutely electrifying. Shout out to my new friends Kevin, Phi...

BIRDWATCHER: Opening Day 2010 Fan Photos

Fan photos, video and the "truth" about Seneca Wallace
BIRDWATCHER: Opening Day 2010 Fan Photos The Ravens had played their last six games that counted on the road so it was clearly overdue that they played a game at M&T Bank Stadium that actually meant something. Unfortunately for the first time in perhaps forever, the opening day tailgating festivities were dampened by Mother Nature. The steady showers that forced many inside or under the shelter of the 395 overpass eventually vacated zip code 21230 and the game was played under partly sunny skies. Still it was opening day and a celebratory mood permeated throughout the zip. There was a newlywed couple in “uniform”; the Ravens24x7.com question of the day and a pregame pep talk courtesy of a regular of the Otterbein Tailgating Club. In between it all was a collection of smiling faces. With that said, we offer you the inaugural albeit dampened tailgate of the 2010 season in pictures and in video.   Make it Happen!       Who is Seneca Wallace?
