Behind the Numbers - STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE IN THE AFC

How good are the remainder of the Ravens' opponents? The answer may surprise you.

It's almost mid-season and time to start looking at how the Ravens' remaining strength of schedule (SOS) compares to the rest of the AFC. When the 2006 schedule was released the Ravens opponents had a combined winning percentage from 2005 of .523.

At that time that ranked as the 5th toughest schedule in the AFC. Heading into week 9 things have drastically improved on the SOS front for the Blackbirds. The Ravens not only have the easiest remaining schedule of any team in their division, but in the entire AFC.

BTN will post the SOS each week and see how bumpy the road to the playoffs looks. Right now that drive is looking pretty smooth.
