Behind the Numbers - BEHIND THE NUMBERS: FASSEL V. BILLICK THROUGH 16 GAMES

Written By:
The final numbers are in for Brian Billick taking over as the Offensive Coordinator…and with a division title and a first round bye; it’s been a resounding success.

Statistics can sometimes tell a strange story. When Billick took over BTN thought the running game would need to improve drastically…that was not the case. Although the Ravens run the ball slightly more, the average per rush did not increase. The key to the offensive improvement was QB Steve McNair gaining confidence in the system and the players around him. The offense is now more efficient in all the major passing categories and third down conversions. When you combine all of those improvements you end up with the best ball control offense in the NFL.

BTN wishes the best of luck to the Ravens in the playoffs and hopes that the Red Zone TD % heads north.
