Behind the Numbers - AFC REMAINING STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE HEADING INTO WEEK 11

Written By:
At 7-2 the Ravens have the best nine-game start in franchise history; and after seeing the schedule before the season began I bet very few of you had the Ravens at 7-2 with a three game lead in the AFC North.

If you think SOS has nothing to do with a team’s record just look at the teams with winning records vs. teams with losing records. There is a direct correlation of a tougher SOS equating to a worse win-loss record. Of the eight teams with a SOS of .500 or better only three have a winning record.

On the flip side, of the eight teams with a SOS of below .500, five have a winning record.

BTN will post the SOS each week and see how bumpy the road to the playoffs looks. The road is still looking good, but expect a few potholes along the way while driving to Cincinnati, Kansas City and Pittsburgh.
