Behind the Numbers - 2006 RAVENS OFFENSE

Fassel v. Billick After Game 8
Written By:
Brian Billick has a perfect 2-0 record as the new Offensive Coordinator. So far it looks as though Billick has only made the slightest of changes. Billick is using the rushing game more as a set up for the passing game. The rushing game has not improved as the yards per attempt (3.5) is the same as with Fassel. But since now there is more play action and more pass plays on 1st down the passing game is more efficient.

The QB Rating numbers continue to improve and the Red Zone efficiency is creeping in the right direction. We all love Matt Stover, but a few less FGs and few more TDs and the Ravens will be a tough team to beat down the stretch.

Check back next week to see if the trend continues.
